About Lumillio
Since 2013, Lumillio has grown from the Estonian craft-led brand Su Valgus into a design brand focused on illuminated planters that bring light, greenery, and atmosphere into one coherent object. What began as a hands-on workshop idea now serves spaces where calm, character, and material quality matter as much as function.
How it started
The original idea was simple: a living plant should not disappear after sunset. Instead of placing a separate light beside it, Lumillio integrates light into the planter itself so that the glow supports the plant, the material, and the room as one whole. The result is a quieter type of lighting object, one that feels natural in the space rather than imposed on it.
Crafted with purpose
Handcraft is part of Lumillio’s DNA. From the earliest Su Valgus pieces onward, the focus has been on thoughtful construction, durable materials, and tactile finishes that age well in real use. Wood, ceramic, and other surfaces are chosen not only for how they look, but for the mood they create and the longevity they offer.
Designed to shape atmosphere
By day, Lumillio pieces work as sculptural planters and refined design objects. In the evening, they become soft sources of diffused light that make terraces, lobbies, lounges, offices, and homes feel warmer, calmer, and more complete. The goal is never decoration for decoration’s sake, but a better emotional quality in the space.
